Hacienda Del Alamo Golf Resort opened in 2006 and has become a favourite for golfers visiting Murcia in Spain ever since. The course was designed by Dave Thomas to test golfers of all abilities. |
From the back tees the par 72 course measures 6,724 metres and it is one of the longest courses in Spain. It meanders through the almond and olive orchards enhanced with several new lakes and cascades to make the course visually outstanding. They have been particularly careful to ensure that the integration of housing does not affect or interfere with the golfing experience.
Many of the long par 4 holes are well protected by steep bunkers at the front and sides of the green so you have to make the difficult choice of “go for it” or “lay up” and rely on your chipping game. The course boasts a modern golf academy and driving range which has 6 full golf holes and two putting greens providing new golfers with a fantastic environment to learn the game.
They also have a professional putting coach Glen Billington who can help you take several shots off your round.

Hacienda Del Alamo Golf Resort is situated close to the town of Fuente Alamo, Murcia. It is 25 Minutes from San Javier/Murcia airport and 55 minutes from Alicante airport.

From Murcia, San Javier Airport
As you leave the airport follow signs for the A7 motorway to Cartagena. Take this motorway until you get near to Cartagena and then take the exit for the A30 to Murcia. After 15 minutes there will be an exit signposted Roldan / Fuente Alamo and Balsapintada, take this exit to the roundabout and turn left to Fuente Alamo and Balsapintada. Keep going for about 5kms going through the village of Balsapintada, when you reach a roundabout go straight across and go into Fuente Alamo. You will come to another roundabout which is a strange shape turn right here, there is a signpost for Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort.
From Alicante Airport
When you leave the airport follow the signs for the motorway to Murcia (E7). After about 45 minutes, just before you reach Murcia the road splits and you then need to follow signs for A30 Murcia/ Cartagena. You actually stay on the same road. As you go through Murcia the signposts just say A30 Cartagena. Keep going and you will go over some mountains. After about 15 minutes you will see an exit signposted Roldan, Fuente Alamo and Balsapintada. Take this exit and at the end of the slip road turn right towards Fuente Alamo. Keeping going for about 5kms going through the village of Balsapintada, when you reach a roundabout go straight across and go into Fuente Alamo. You will come to another roundabout which is a strange shape turn right here, there is a signpost for Hacienda del Alamo. Keep going along this road for about 3kms and Hacienda del Alamo will be on right.
