This is the fourth of the Polaris World golf courses in Murcia designed by Jack Nicklaus and a part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail. The fairways run between Olive trees, wild flowers and 5 lakes creating a true test of golf and some stunning views. |
The course at Hacienda Riquelme has 18 holes, is par 72 and is longer than the three other Polaris World courses that opened before it. The fairways have been sown with the latest variety of Paspalum grass which has a high saline tolerance which should keep it in top condition all year round. The par 5 4th tees off from the top of the hill and dog legs around the lake to a well protected green but if you have the nerve and the accuracy the big hitters can get up in two and offer a chance of the elusive eagle.

Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is situated close to the Spanish town of Sucina, Murcia. It is 15 Minutes from San Javier/Murcia airport and 55 minutes from Alicante airport.

Directions
From either Murcia-San Javier or Alicante Airports, take the AP7 Alicante-Cartagena Motorway and exit at Junction 782 to join the C-3319, Direction Balsicas/Murcia. Turn off C-3319 for Sucina on the right and at the roundabout, turn right. Continue straight on through Avileses towards Sucina. Pass La Peraleja Golf on the left and continue straight on towards Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort. Follow the road around the resort until reaching the main entrance which is currently located on the opposite side of the resort
