The course originally opened in 2005 as a 9 hole Par 36 course and was extended to a full 18 holes Par 72 which opened in September 2009. This is a good test of golf for all handicap levels the original 9 holes are now very mature and demand a high degree of accuracy on the approach shots. The lush Mediterranean landscape full of palm trees, native grasses and flowering shrubs adds to the beauty of the resort. The new back 9 holes offer some very challenging contoured greens with 4 holes placed around a very large spectacular lake.
Location
Mar Menor Village Golf Resort is situated close to the Coastal town of Los Alcazares, Murcia. It is 10 Minutes from San Javier/Murcia airport and 55 minutes from Alicante airport.

Directions
Directions from Alicante: On leaving Alicante airport follow the signs for Murcia and join the A7. At junction 724 of the A7 join the AP-7 following signs for Cartagena/Torrevieja. Following the AP-7 you will see a sign for San Javier Airport; you will be coming off in 2 more junctions. Come off the AP-7 at junction 786 signed Los Alcazares Centro/ Torre Pacheco. Take the Torre Pacheco road for approximately 2 km and you will see Mar Menor Golf Resort on your right.
