Montenmedio Golf & Country Club - Vejer de la Frontera, Cadiz

Montenmedio Golf & Country Club is located 42 kilometers from of Cadiz on the Costa de la Luz in Southern Spain. The resort has something for everyone with its beautiful surroundings of Mediterranean pines, wild olive trees and not a tourist development in sight. It is a natural sanctuary for migratory birds, which make it their natural habitat coming from the colder climes of northern Europe.

The course is a classic parkland design with the local terrain well-used to create a challenging, interesting and beautiful golfing gem. The course is surrounded by majestic trees and the quality of its tees and greens blend in perfectly with their natural surroundings, guaranteeing an excellent days golf.

Seve Ballasteros said that in his opinion Montenmedio is one of the best courses in Europe, both in quality and landscape. The course is an18 hole par 72 measuring 5,897 meters in length from the white tees.

The Montenmedio Golf & Country Club also offers a full range of other activities including equestrian disciplines, climbing, 4x4 off-roading, archery, paint ball, quad-biking, mountain biking, football, paddle and swimming. All of this set in the amazing nature reserve made up of typical Andalusian cork oak, pine nut, and olive trees.

Directions

From Seville Airport (Journey time: approx 1 ½ hours)

From Seville Airport head towards Cadiz (westbound) on the Ring Road, at Junction 8 take the A4/E05 motorway southbound towards Cadiz & Jerez. At Junction 668 follow Chiclana and Algeciras onto the NIV road, continue on the NIV as it turns into the N340 for approximately 39km following signs for Algeciras and Vejer de la Frontera. After you pass turnings for Vejer and Barbate continue on the N340 for approx 4km. Montenmedio is on the right.

From Jerez Airport (Journey time: approx 45 mins)

From Jerez Airport follow the "Salida" signs and then pick up signs towards the A4/E5 motorway and Cadiz. At Junction 668 follow Chiclana and Algeciras onto the NIV road, continue on the NIV as it turns into the N340 for approximately 39km following signs for Algeciras and Vejer de la Frontera. After you pass turnings for Vejer and Barbate continue on the N340 for approx 4km. Montenmedio is on the right.
