Aloha Golf - Málaga, Costa Del Sol
|
Aloha Golf is located in the golf valley of Malaga and it is one of the longest established clubs on the Costa. The course was designed by Javier Arana in 1973 and it was completed just before he died in 1975. The stamp of Javier Arana is reflected not only in the splendid design, but also in the right selection of trees and plants on the course, that were planted in a sequence which allowed them to blossom at differing times ensuring blossom throughout the year. |
The course is one of the most outstanding courses in Spain and has hosted the Andalusian Open Tournament, PGA European Tour, in 2007 and 2008.
It has 5 long holes (1st, 4th, 10th 13th and 18th) where the strength and precision become essential, other than these holes it is more about tactical golf than long hitting. There are a lot of trees making a straight hit essential if you want to stay out of trouble. The course is mixed parkland in nature, and whilst mainly on gently undulating terrain there are a few slopes to climb. A true gem that you will remember for a long time.
