Santa Maria Golf Club - Marbella, Costa Del Sol

Santa Maria Golf Club – Marbella, Costa Del Sol
Santa Maria Golf, Marbella is situated near the coast between Fuengirola and Marbella. The course opened in 1996 and was designed in two half’s, first nine were designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido and the second which is a little wider by the clubs technical team.
The course is quite short at 5,586 meters but the holes are challenging enough with well protected greens and a number of water hazards.

A few holes that stand out are the dogleg 8th hole par 5 which needs a good tee shot to make the dogleg, your second shot needs to be straight as there is water running down the right and out of bounds on your left. The 14th begins with a very high tee and the fairway is lined by a lake which ends up at a green with a waterfall to the right. The par 3 15th looks down from a high tee, a perfect view of this short hole.

The 19th-century clubhouse has a restaurant with terrace, bars, lounges and snooker room. There are also tennis courts, swimming pool and a lawn bowls club on the club’s grounds.

Location
Santa Clara is located between Marbella and Málaga.
